“Kannada Vedike 2022” Inaugurated at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University)

The Kannada Section in association with the School of Commerce, School of Sciences CS & IT and School of Humanities & Social Sciences at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) jointly organised the inauguration of “Kannada Vedike 2022” at the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Main campus on 08-09-2022.

Dr Rajani Jairam, Head of the Department of Languages and Dean for Student Welfare JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) inaugurated the event and in her speech advised that the students should focus on developing multiple skills for their overall growth to survive in the current competitive world. She further added, that in every academic year the “Kannada Vedike” is identifying the talents and skills of the students and helping them to grow holistically. She further said that this initiative has received a satisfactory response from students and we will continue to help the students in their skill-building efforts through the “Kannada Vedike” platform.

Dr Uma M.H, Head of the Department, School of Humanities & Social Sciences participated as the Resource Person and gave a special talk about “Knowledge and Discipline. She further quoted that knowledge is the combination of the conscious and subconscious mind, while discipline consists of internal discipline and external disciplines. It is very important that every person should adopt these characteristics in their lifestyles to lead a satisfactory and fruitful life.

Dr Suchitra Head of Department, School of Sciences & IT was present on the Dais and Smt Rajeshwari Y.M coordinator, Department of Languages, was the Guest of Honour.

Students, Ms Raksha sang the prayer song, Ms Anushka R Gowda welcomed the guests and spoke about the richness and culture of Karnataka, Ms Gagana gave a brief note about “Kannada Vedike”. The event was anchored by Ms Anusha Bhat and Mr. Tejas Vasistha gave Vote of Thanks.

All the student’s actively participated in many cultural activities like Mimicry performances, playing Veena, singing movie songs and more at the “Kannada Vedike” event.
