The student society of Enactus, functioning under JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) hosted Illuminate 2022 on March 24 and March 25, 2022, at college premises. Under the supervision of Nikhil MS, Assistant Professor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus – JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), the event was well-executed. The event began auspiciously with a torch lighting ceremony by the panelists, and soon after Enactus and its ongoing projects were introduced to the audience.
Illuminate is an inter-collegiate social entrepreneurship fest where students from several institutions across India compete to create detailed business ideas that are cost-effective, sustainable, and environmentally friendly, with the goal of uplifting underprivileged communities. The event aims to provide a platform for students to engage in idea generation activities, innovation, networking, and producing measurable results by taking on community projects.
On the first day of Illuminate, the participants were faced with a set of panellists, which included Mr. Kunal Tainwala, Mr. Syed Nooruddin, and Mr. Anil Iyer, each of whom is skilled and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Each panellist assessed the practicality and feasibility of the venture and model, and accordingly, the best business model was declared the winner. Kunal Tainwala, the co-founder of CMO, spoke about his company which caters to underprivileged children and ensures they get a proper education. Mr. Syed Nooruddin addressed the gathering next and spoke about his NGO, Bringing Smiles, which works with over 40 schools to encourage education in rural areas. He also advised Enactus to focus its projects on the betterment of society rather than on making profits. Lastly, Anil Iyer, a Counselling Psychologist at 1to1help.net, conveyed his sense of pride in watching Enactus grow and he congratulated the student body on its success and growth. He also spoke about the empowerment of individuals and said that he looks forward to the rest of the event.

Their vision is to be a pioneer in their field by fostering financial independence at the micro and macro levels, which will have an impact on the country. They explained that they are looking forward to collaborating with Skill India, a campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to train Indians to excel in a range of skills, which will allow their clients to choose from a variety of courses available.
