The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science or Commerce from PUC / ISC / CBSE or an equivalent board. A course recognised as equivalent thereto by the University.
The Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree programme, integrated with the U.S. CMA, combines foundational commerce principles with specialised expertise in management accounting and financial strategy, aligning with global standards. The curriculum aims to provide students with a career path in management accounting and financial analysis, by emphasising the use of quantitative thinking and problem solving.
It is the first such investment banking programme to be incorporated by CMA, U.S. and CFA USA Investment Foundation. In preparing them for roles of analysts, fund managers and bankers in the global business environment, it aims to develop students' understanding of finance, literary know-how as well as research methods.
In the first five semesters of this B. Com in Corporate Accounting and Investment Banking programme, which is supported by IMI, Wiley & Miles Education, all twelve core competencies are integrated into U.S. CMA. The students will receive the two CMA exams, which give them a competitive edge for placements with MNCs. During the 4th, 5th, and 6th semesters of B. Com – Corporate Accounting, students study subjects related to the U.S. CPA. In the 5th and 6th semesters of B. Com – Investment Banking, subjects related to CFA Level 1 – Investment Foundation are covered.
In its fourth year, the B. Com Honours course offers specialised knowledge and skills in a given field to enhance professional competencies. The programme is focused on research, analytics and technologies in the field to build theory and practical understanding.
