SAMVIGYAN is a book club which connects people who have an interest in reading and wish to connect with the likeminded people. It is a golden platform that focuses on student-led discussions and innovative social interaction without making one being tied down to one’s assigned roles or jobs in a selected area.

PRABHAVAHA

The department of Samskritam, under the banner of प्रभवः strives hard to cater to the literary inquisitiveness of the students. It tries to develop the aesthetic sense of young mind, sharpen language, and dramatic skills. The word Prabhavaha is a synonym for cause of existence, prominent, excelling, and distinguished. Hence, with an intention of seeing the young minds excel in all fields, the department aims to instil moral and cultural values among the youth. In concurrence with this motto, various guest lectures, seminars, and inter-collegiate literary competitions are organized. Prabhavaha celebrates occasions like Gurupurnima and Geetha Jayanti. The World Samskrita Day celebration is organized as a seven-day festival, which is known as संस्कृतसप्ताह.

ANTARAL - PAUSE & BE THE CHANGE

Antaral, translated as interval, also means bringing changes. Antaral is an initiative to make a difference in the society by taking small steps, raising awareness of unspoken issues, and initiating talks and discussions. As a part of the transition process, we create an atmosphere of equality and opportunity among people. We also strive to promote environmental wellbeing.

Toastmasters Club

Through a global network of clubs, Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organisation, imparts leadership and public speaking skills. The group has a structure based on local clubs, with an average club membership of about 22 members. Every week or two, meetings are held to carry out the club's activities and discuss its plan of action. For any club to be recognised as an official Toastmasters club, they must meet a set of criteria that results in chartered status. Building members' abilities in public speaking and leadership is a priority for Toastmasters International. Through this club, the School of Commerce, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) seeks to develop and enhance students' leadership qualities.

VISHWAS

Vishwas has been serving the stakeholders of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) since 2004. The counselors have been placed in every campus to meet the psychological needs of students, staff, and parents. Vishwas was propounded in the year 2004 under Dr. Uma Warrier for SBMJC (Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer JAIN College) to bring in all counseling centers under one umbrella.

SAMASHTI

Samashti (meaning 'Harmony'), the student governing representative body is one of the beneficiary and encouraging platforms for students who collectively represent and share prospects and challenges facing the student community. From framing agendas to executing projects, everything is the responsibility of the student. In this way, Samashti produces in students a culture of discipline, team spirit and leadership to actualize potentials and be the best version of themselves.

ARTOGRAPHY

Artography is the literary club of the Department of English, functioning under, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), School of Commerce, Computer Science and IT. It aims to hone the literary, linguistic, and creative skills of the students. By organizing various literary and creative events under its banner, the club focuses at an all-round aesthetic and creative growth of students. The club comprises faculty members of the department supervising students on a regular basis. The events organized help in developing a taste of literature, enhancing their creative outlook, and expanding their appreciation towards art and literature beyond syllabus confinement. The club ensures that this journey into the realms of art and literature fine tunes the inner self nurturing the creative thirst of the young minds.

SPORTS FORUM

Wellbeing and Health are integral to School of Commerce and to achieve this goal, the Sports Forum helps sports or athletics aspirants with various avenues in the fields of cricket, badminton, basketball, etc. The forum also organizes both indoor and outdoor sports and events to sustain the sports ethos. We identify talents and nurture them to participate and notch their dreams both at the national and international level.

VITTA (FINANCE FORUM)

Vitta – finance forum – helps students with advice to strategically maintain finance. The forum through various workshops and case studies enables students to build finance and resource management skills to have a sustainable future. The forum also provides the latest knowledge and advances that is taking place in the field of finance. There are currently over 50 volunteers in the association to help achieve this mission. Improving abilities, knowledge sharing and talent development.

KANNADA VEDIKE

Kannada Vedike stimulates the significance of state culture and language in students. To nurture native culture and language, the forum conducts various competitions and events ranging from Debate, Dialogue Writing, Acting to Performance.

ENNACTUS

Enactus, an international not-for-profit organization, is committed to foster entrepreneurial spirit among students to develop innovative ideas, explore sustainable solutions and take strategic decisions to challenges faced by society. As one of the largest explorative forums, Enactus provides a wide exposure for students to experiment ideas and exhibit their talents to create a marketability, hence were are a social entrepreneur division of the university. Among the many projects undertaken in the past, there are two projects at hand this year.

As professional development is integral to School of Commerce, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) has Connect to Careers - a launch pad for students stepping into the career world after graduation. SCAPS organized students with teaching/industry-based internships and aid partnering companies to tap best talent through various placement drives.

Hindi Parishad is engaged in promoting Hindi language, which has national significance and character. To fulfil this vision, it organizes various intercollegiate competitions like debate, writing and plays to highlight the cultural significance of the language. The forum every year organizes Hindi Divas and Vasantotsava to promote and celebrate Indian Culture and Heritage.

With the motto ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’, the functional unit has been ably supported by the pro-active management of the college, the able administrators, and the NSS Wing of the Bangalore University. The NSS Wing of the college has run an extra mile to identify itself in the social service arena by making path-breaking efforts to institute service-mindedness in the youth of today.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is one of the potential stage where a student is engaged to learn discipline, focus, adaptable and leadership skills through an exposure to different wings of defense organizations of the country. NCC gives students not only different skills to respond to immediate situations but also learn survival tactics to maintain their wellbeing in tough conditions.

To make the planet a safer place, School of Commerce has ‘Medini Raksha’ – a Green Forum that works towards improving the environment from overexploitation and unsustainable use of resources in nature. One of the missions of this forum is to feeding back the earth to create a sustainable future and make the planet a more habitable place to all. in the association to help achieve this mission. SHODHA (STUDENT RESEARCH CELL)

SHODHA - student Research Development Cell – is an initiative of the School of Commerce, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), aims to enhance the research interest of students. The platform seeks to achieve high quality research writing skills and encourages students produce thought leadership at national and international forums and academia. The student research development cell also actively organizes webinars, workshops, national and international conferences to fulfil this vision.
